Boulder County Daily Release Window
The Daily Booking and Listing Reports page is the main online jail data gateway for Boulder County. The Sheriff's Office says the Daily Listing Report is compiled from Sheriff's Office data and is informational. The enhanced-report announcement describes a daily release report that shows people released from midnight forward on the current day and people scheduled for release within the next 24 hours.
That wording is important. The report answers a current or near-current question. It is not a broad Boulder County released-inmate archive, and it is not the same as the requested record held by the Sheriff's Records Section. If the release is older than the report window, use the records fallback instead of treating the missing name as a denial.
| Report area | What it helps confirm | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Current jail listing | Whether a person is still lodged | Not proof of a past release |
| Daily bookings | Who was booked and related booking details | Booking is not release |
| Daily release report | Current-day and pending 24-hour release activity | Short public window |
| Population data | Jail-level statistics | Not a person record |
Check Boulder County Report Releases
The report is most useful when the release is expected today or was just processed. A court order, bond posting, or completed sentence may still need time for jail processing. Boulder County's jail FAQ says release processing normally takes 4 to 6 hours and depends on release volume, bookings, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Open Boulder County's official Daily Booking and Listing Reports page.
- Use the current jail listing to see if the person remains lodged.
- Use the daily release report for current-day releases and next-24-hour scheduled releases.
- Save the booking number, name spelling, and charge details if shown.
- For older releases, request the jail record from Sheriff's Records.
For a named-person search that goes beyond the report window, use the main Boulder County released inmates search path, which separates jail, court, state, federal, and VINE records.
Boulder County Report Fields
The accessible current jail listing shows fields such as booking number, jail ID, name, booked date, race, sex, hair, eyes, height, weight, age, charge, arresting agency, sentence start date, court date, and bond amount. The daily booking table shows jail ID, name, booking number, booked date, date of birth, race, sex, case number, arresting agency, charge, and arrest date.
The research did not verify a full release-report field set from the live Power BI release tab. Do not infer every release column from the current listing. The supported fact is the release function and window: current-day releases from midnight and scheduled releases within the next 24 hours.
Important: A booking record, current listing, and release report answer different questions. Reconcile them before relying on a result.
Boulder County Records Fallback
When the public report no longer shows the person, the official county fallback is the Sheriff's Records Section. Boulder County says older jail bookings should be directed to Records at 303-441-3600. The Records Section page also says requests for case reports, mugshots, body-worn camera footage, and jail records should be submitted through the proper request form.

Common jail-record fees include a $5 report search fee, $0.25 per page after 10 pages, $5 adult arrest photos, and $40 per hour for research and retrieval.
Boulder County Report vs CDOC
Do not use the Daily Booking and Listing Reports for state-prison release research. If a Boulder County case led to a CDOC sentence, the release, parole, mandatory release, or sentence discharge path is statewide. CDOC's public search accepts DOC number, last name, first name, and gender. The county report may show a pre-transfer jail event, but CDOC carries the state sentence status.
For immigration or federal custody, use ICE or BOP. For a court order, disposition, bond condition, or probation sentence, use Boulder County court records. The report is the county jail data channel, not a substitute for each downstream system.
Boulder County Release Timing
The Boulder County jail FAQ gives a practical limit that belongs with this report. Release processing normally takes 4 to 6 hours, and the time can vary with the number of arrests or scheduled releases. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are described as the busiest periods. A person can have a bond posted, a sentence complete, or a court order entered and still wait while staff complete checks, paperwork, property steps, or other release processing.
That timing affects how to read the Daily Booking and Listing Reports. A person scheduled for release within the next 24 hours may not be out yet. A person listed as current custody may be in the release queue. A person who was released earlier may no longer show once the report window passes. For that reason, the report works best when paired with jail booking, court records, or Sheriff's Records when the timing is close but not clear.
Boulder County Older Bookings
The report page also helps define what it does not do. Boulder County directs older jail bookings to the Sheriff's Records Division and tells users that case reports, mugshots, and body-worn camera footage should be requested through a records request. The enhanced report announcement says additional information, including mugshots and older jail booking records, is available through the Records Division or by calling 303-441-3600.
This keeps the online report in its proper role. It is the public recent-data window, not the permanent file. When a release must be verified after the short window, the request should name the person, booking information if known, date range, and the record type needed. If another police agency made the arrest, the jail record may be held by the Sheriff's Office while the arrest report belongs to that other agency.
That split is common in Boulder County because local police departments, Colorado State Patrol, and the Sheriff's Office can all be connected to a jail booking. The release report answers the jail custody event. The arrest report, court file, and sentence record may live elsewhere.
